O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57
Who we are
Victory House is a men’s residential Christian discipleship ministry home located in Capistrano Beach, California. LCF assumed responsibility for Victory House in January of 2007. Victory House is supported by donations as well as profits of Lighthouse Store.
What we do
Our main purpose is to cultivate the mind of Christ into Victory House residents – given over to sacrificial service, trained by the Word of God, and geared towards obedience to our Father’s will. We offer group meetings and studies as well as one-on-one counseling. We also have a mandatory drug, alcohol, and nicotine testing policy. Residents are randomly tested on a regular basis. Beyond that, we also teach residents to develop self-respect, financial accountability, principles of giving back to the community, and respect for the laws.
Who we serve
Victory House is intentional about reaching out to men from all walks of life that have realized their brokenness and are ready to surrender to Christ’s Lordship. Unfortunately, this realization usually occurs after their lives are in disrepair because of debilitating addictions, criminal records, or a combination of both. Victory House will prayerfully consider accepting anyone willing to commit to the regimen of our one-year program. The only reason we would not accept someone is if they have to register under PC 290 upon arrival.
How we disciple
The basic meaning of the term disciple is “learner” or “pupil,” which implies a process. In the instance of Victory House, discipleship entails everything from tending to the spiritual, social, intellectual, as well as the biological well being of those being discipled. Needless to say, effective disciplemaking requires relationships. The Victory House discipleship program is designed such that our servant-leadership team interacts with our residents on a day-to-day basis. Our residents also live in close community with one another, which is necessary for significant spiritual development to occur. In addition, Victory House relies on routine a schedule of home Bible studies and local church services to inculcate Christian lifestyle.
– To disciple and teach our residents from the Word of God in order to help them grow in faith and character, while becoming responsible, productive men with a real sense of purpose in life.
– To provide our residents with room and board for your complete one year program.
